Drone jamming is becoming a hot topic as remotely piloted vehicles [RPVs] of both the directly piloted and the autonomous types are being used increasingly frequently for both legitimate uses - and less legitimate ones. Unfortunately, the commercially available solutions for jamming are both of dubious effectiveness and expose the operator to potentially hazardous levels of RF energy. This talk will discuss how existing methods work, and what changes can be made to be more effective and safer for the operators.
